Khwarizmi
Terms of Service & Privacy Policy · Effective August 15, 2026 · Updated August 23, 2026
Khwarizmi is an AI assistant app made by ZEROAI. This page covers both the terms you agree to by using it and exactly what happens to your data. It is written to be read, not skimmed past.
Terms of Service
1. The service
Khwarizmi lets you converse with an AI model in Arabic or English. Replies are generated by artificial intelligence, streamed to your device through ZEROAI's server.
2. Your account
You can sign in with Apple, with Google, or with a one-time email code, or use the app as a guest without an account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. One person per account, please. You can delete your account at any time from Settings inside the app — see Retention and deletion below.
3. Acceptable use
Use Khwarizmi lawfully. Don't attempt to break, overload, probe, or abuse the service, circumvent its usage limits, or use it to generate content that is illegal or intended to harm others. We may rate-limit, suspend, or terminate access that violates these terms.
4. AI-generated content
AI answers can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date — verify anything that matters before acting on it. Khwarizmi does not provide professional medical, legal, or financial advice. You own your prompts; to the extent permitted by law, you may use the responses generated for you.
5. Free plan and subscriptions
The free plan has daily message and attachment limits, enforced on our server. An optional Khwarizmi Plus subscription — US$17.99 per month or US$179.99 per year, in your store's local currency and taxes — raises those limits. It is an auto-renewing subscription billed and managed entirely through your app store (the App Store or Google Play): payment is charged to your store account at confirmation, renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can cancel any time in your store account settings. Prices may change with notice through the store.
6. Termination
You can stop using Khwarizmi at any time — deleting the app deletes your on-device chat history. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms or abuse the service.
7. Disclaimer and liability
Khwarizmi is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, ZEROAI is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding twelve months.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this page; continuing to use Khwarizmi after a change means you accept it.
Privacy Policy
The short version: your chats live on your device, not on our servers. Messages are sent to our server only to generate a reply. No ads. No selling data. No third-party analytics. Ever.
What we collect
- Account: your email address (email sign-in), your name and email from Google (Google sign-in), or the name and email address Apple chooses to share (Sign in with Apple — this may be a private relay address, which is fine). Guest sessions have no personal identity — just an anonymous ID.
- Messages you send: transmitted to ZEROAI's server over an encrypted connection and forwarded to a third-party AI provider under contract that does not retain the content or train on it, solely to generate the reply that streams back to you.
- Web search: when you turn on web search or research for a message, the text of your question is sent to our search provider to retrieve relevant results. This happens only for messages where you enable it.
- Usage counters: daily message counts per account (per IP address for guests) and short-lived rate-limit records, kept to enforce fair-use limits and protect the service.
- Subscription status: if you subscribe, the app store and our billing processor confirm your entitlement to us. We never see your payment card.
- Crash reports: if the app crashes or hits an error, a report — the technical stack trace, your device model, operating-system and app version, and a random per-install identifier — goes to our error-monitoring provider (EU servers), which processes it only on our behalf. Reports never include your chats, email, or account, and are kept for 90 days.
- Product usage: count-only usage events — for example that a message was sent or the upgrade screen was viewed, never what was written — stored in our own database, never shared with anyone, deleted with your account, and kept for 90 days.
- Scheduled tasks: if you create a task in Secretary, the prompt you wrote is stored on our server so the task can run at the time you chose. Each run sends that prompt to the same third-party AI provider as your chat messages, and the result is stored so you can read it in your inbox. Results are deleted automatically 30 days after the run finishes. The task itself is kept until you delete it or delete your account — you can delete any task, and any individual result, at any time.
- Notification token: if you turn notifications on, your device is issued an anonymous push token, which we store against your account so we can deliver the notifications you asked for. It is passed to the push-delivery services that carry each message to your device, which process it only on our behalf. We delete it when you turn notifications off, sign out, or delete your account.
What stays on your device
Your chat history, projects, and settings are stored locally on your device and are not synced to or stored on ZEROAI's servers. Temporary chats are never saved at all. Deleting the app deletes this data.
Microphone and photos
Voice dictation uses your device's built-in speech recognition; audio is handled by your operating system (Apple or Google, per your device settings) and ZEROAI never receives it. Photos are accessed only when you choose to attach one to a message.
Google user data (Gmail and Calendar)
Khwarizmi's Secretary can optionally connect to your Gmail and Google Calendar. If you connect them, Khwarizmi accesses your Google data only to provide the features you turn on: reading messages to show you one-line summaries and to draft replies you review, sending a reply only when you tap Send, and showing or creating events on your primary calendar — always after an explicit confirmation step.
Your email and calendar content is not stored on ZEROAI's servers. It is processed transiently to produce the feature you asked for — including by a third-party AI provider under contract that does not retain the content or train on it — and nothing is kept afterwards, with one narrow exception: the one-line inbox summaries are held in server memory for at most ten minutes so repeated refreshes stay fast. We never use this data for advertising, never allow humans to read it, and never use it to train or improve AI models. Google connection tokens are stored encrypted on our server and are deleted when you disconnect or delete your account. You can disconnect at any time in Settings, which revokes our access at Google.
Khwarizmi's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we don't do
- No advertising, and no advertising SDKs.
- No third-party analytics or tracking.
- No selling or sharing personal data with data brokers.
- ZEROAI does not use your conversations to train AI models.
Retention and deletion
Our server keeps your account record, usage counters, the count-only usage events described above (kept 90 days), and — if you use them — your scheduled tasks, their results, your notification settings and notification token. Task results are deleted 30 days after each run finishes; a task itself is kept until you delete it or delete your account. Crash reports live with our error-monitoring provider for 90 days and are not tied to your account. Chat content is processed to generate a reply and is not retained as your conversation history.
Deleting your account: open Settings in the app and tap Delete account. This immediately and permanently removes your account record, sign-in sessions, linked sign-in providers, subscription record, usage counters, usage events, scheduled tasks and their results, notification settings and notification token from our server, and erases the chats, projects, and files stored for that account on your device. It cannot be undone. An active subscription is billed by your app store and is not cancelled by deleting your account — cancel it in your store account settings. If you cannot reach the in-app option, write to us at the address below and we will delete the account for you.
Security
All traffic between the app and our server uses TLS encryption. Authentication uses short-lived signed tokens stored in your device's secure storage.
Children
Khwarizmi is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes materially, we will note it here and in the app. Help and answers to common questions live on our support page. Anything else — including an account-deletion request you would rather we handle: contact@zeroais.com (ZEROAI).
